New Roland Clark track out next week

"I Can't Breathe" is the HUGE new track coming from Roland Clark & Alexander Technique inspired by the last words of Eric Garner. The song is being released March 9th on Todd Terry's InHouse Records.

In the true sense of the word this is protest music. This is stand up for your fucking rights and dance your ass off and give power to the people.

The U.S. government is corrupt beyond belief and local police forces have become military units that are free to murder civilians in the streets. Stand up and make some mother fucking noise!

Great new release from Kley

Kley has just released an EP on Fusion Recordings featuring two original tracks - 'Push It' and 'Heartbreak'.

'Push It' has a shuffling techno beat with an old school vibe. This song will get some booties shakin' and some heads bobbin'

'Heartbreak' has a deeper feel and will work great in early evening or afterhours sets

New release from Modul Kollektiv out Wednesday

Hailing from Berlin, Modul Kollektiv has had a prosperous career producing under numerous synonyms within various genres, however with the arrival of his new moniker the budding artist is set to cement himself as one of the hottest bourgeoning producers within the realm of deep house.

Late 2014 saw the elusive German producer’s debut release ‘Farbenfroh’ on Dirty Soul. His new release, the 'Control EP' is coming out Wednesday on Kittball.

The new release is hot! The song is called "Control" and has been remixed by Kruse & Nuernberg and P.A.C.O.

The original version is a nice vocal house track:

The Kruse & Nuernberg remix is a deep, spaced out dancefloor gem:

The P.A.C.O. remix is my personal favorite. It has a great afterhours vibe.

Lazy River by April out now [house]

April was born into a preacher's household that raised her on early jazz music as well as the gospel sounds from the church. When April was introduced to house music by her brother as a child, she found a fusion of all the things she loved and was eager to study the history of this unique genre.

Coming from New York, April produced, performed with and sang for the group Machine Life, who released "Nothing Makes it Right" in early 2014. In late 2014, she decided to release solo material that paid tribute to her love for deep Chicago house. "Lazy River" is an album that combines these early sounds with April's own musical vision. The title track was released in early February of 2015 and pays equal homage to real house music and her love of the early jazz days.

New album and supporting tour from GRiZ

GRiZ just posted a streaming preview of "The Anthem" featuring Mike Avery. It is contemporary funk at it's finest and reminds me a lot of Fort Knox Five. He has a new album out in March called 'Say It Loud'.

GRiZ had a ton of fun making this track. Here are his thoughts on "The Anthem":

"For this record I first went out to New York to record with some of the Daptone Records guys to get the main groove of the tune. Then I had to travel out to Van Nuys to record a children's choir, which was the most nerve racking thing I have done in my entire life! Having a group of 7-11 year olds sing your song is quite the feeling. I finished up the song with Mike Avery in Chicago, and he was one super soulful dude that really captured the golden era funk vibes that I love so much. Overall, this track is a total funk dance party that needs to be enjoyed with friends, preferably in a room full of disco balls.”

GRiZ will be touring all over the U.S. in April and May in support of the new album. Tour dates are:
