The Phonograph is the Italian duo of Stefi & Gabri and they make some fun electro-pop and electro tracks.
They have shared with us a couple of their recent singles, which I think you are going to like!
The Phonograph - Work Hard and Party Hard :: The original version of the track is a fun electro-pop track with a great mantra, "Work hard and party hard!" I think fans of 8-bit music will also like this song as there is a definite video game influence in the beats.
The Phonograph - Work Hard and Party Hard (Q.G. remix) :: Quentin Gauthier, a French electro producer, takes the track and twists it almost beyond recognition, into an electro club banger!
Visit Quentin Gauthier (Q.G.) on MySpace
The Phonograph - Erasmus (Broke One remix) :: Another great remix, this one comes from Broke One. A blend of current electro sounds with a little bith of a throw back 80s new wave feel. I think people that like Erasure / Pet Shop Boys type of music will like this one.

I am a huge fan of Yazoo (Yaz) and everyone should know their hits such as Situation and Don't Go. Nobody's Diary was not as big a hit, but still contained the very familiar electro-synth sound that made them so popular. DJ Copycat was asked to do a remix for a 'Remix the Eighties' project which never came to fruition. He was kind enough to share his remix with us, so enjoy!
Yazoo - Nobody's Diary 2008 (A Copycat remix)
Here is what DJ Copycat has to say about the track:
"Back in the days, when Vince Clarke decided to jump the Depeche Mode ship and head for poppier pastures, I was convinced my infatuation with the band was over. But a couple of singles later on, Martin Gore penned "See you", and I let out a sigh as long as a monster truck tire losing its air. What's more, Vince went on to form the marvellous duo Yazoo, comprising everything I loved about DM, plus a little bit of soul on top, courtesy of Alison Moyet's wonderful bluesy voice.
When I was invited to join this project, I knew exactly what to remix: “Nobody's diary”, the prelude to Yazoo's second album "You and me both". When it was released originally, the 12" was just another boring extended job with no added value whatsoever. I always missed a proper remix of the song – a dance remix, to be precise. Well, here’s my shot at it.
I kinda had a vision of Yazoo hooking up with the Pet Shop Boys and the Latin Rascals at an Electro House party hosted by the Swedish House Mafia. The result? Not even close. But hopefully quite fun anyway."

Rubinskee, AKA Moisés Ivan Riestra is Konfort’s own master of disco’s bastard electronic child known as house music. Riding along addictive basslines, infectious beats and sweeping melodies, Rubinskee’s broad arsenal of sounds bridges the gap between eigthies’ post-disco sounds and today’s minimal electro. After mastering a Latin fusion style in his early tracks, Rubinskee has now broadened his musical palette by incorporating elements from prog rock, high energy and dub, without losing disco’s fundamental stronghold on his music. Rubinskee’s music updates the kitsch spirit of Mexican sci-fi films of the early seventies.
His latest release - the 5 track Telurico EP, shows his progression as a producer and features some seriously funky electronic beats. We are going to share the entire EP with you below::
Floripondia :: The opening track is an electro-funk groover. Slower tempo, a great warm up track to get you ready for the rest of the EP.
La Braun :: The next track picks up the tempo from the first, adds some percussion and you can also hear the sci-fi influence with some of the sounds. Another funky track that displays some of the disco influence as well.
Loverde Mode :: With this third track, we've now hit the dancefloor. You can hear more of the disco / italo-disco / high energy influence in this track. You could work this into a variety of sets.
Hide Ruds :: This one is a full on sci-fi electro banger. My personal favorite of the EP. A great bassline on this track.
Ochentayseis :: The EP finishes up with a nice techy number. This one will also get people going.

Arveene & Misk - Battlescars Gallactica [zShare download link]
Husky Rescue - Shadow Run (Arveene & Misk Remix) [zShare download link]
Here is some background info on Arveene & Misk:
A brand new production duo made up of two firmly established DJs/producers dedicated to making credible club music with interesting angles, styles and even songs when applicable, only been together six months but have already amassed an impressive catalogue of tracks.. most recent project, the boy's teamed up with 3 US girl rappers from Miami, the girls record as Yo Majesty and we have 2 words for them, on fire, the combo of the rappers over razor sharp electro beats will see the light of day very soon, more tracks are in the pipeline with Yo Majesty along with the legendary cut up of “Rage against Arveene”, and some fine original recordings from the boys themselves.
Arveene needs no introduction as he has been hard at it for the last 10 years making himself Ireland's best club DJ, his mission is nearly complete and he can count Erol Alkan, Liam Howlett and Darren Emerson as fans. Resident spots include Clampdown (various), The End and The Lock Tavern in London, also plays regulary at all the major festivals and around Ireland’s better clubs, he has toured with The Prodigy and Nightmares on wax.
Misk AKA Phil Byrne is better known as one half of hugely successful breakbeat act called Splitloop, they have played all over the world including UK, Moscow, Spain, Australia, China and New Zealand for starters, released a critcally acclaimed album and got nominated for best album & best producers at the international breakbeat awards, they been on the cover of IDJ and Splitloop also licenced two 'Here on business' album tracks to MTV for their show Barrio 19. New album is due out in the UK late this year.
